Yup. I wash mine beacuse pad taxing sucks and having clean pads is nice. I add a tiny amount of laundry soap to a dish of warm water and squeeze the pads several times and then repeat the same process with plain water untill the soap is gone. Afterwards I pat them dry on a towel and then throw them in the dryer with a damp towel for about 5 minutes or so.

Mix 2 parts bleach with 1 part ammonia based cleaner in a bowl. Vigorously scrub pads with your hands in a small, non-ventilated room (closets work well) and enjoy the chloramine/hydrazine high.

    (Don't actually do this.)

Was thinking of just throwing the headphones in the washing machine on a "delicates" cycle. Probably good that I'm bad at getting around to things.

Have actually done this, minus the headphones part. It didn't clean the pads as well as I had hoped. Made me question quality of washing machine. Got nervosa and researched washing machines for 3 weeks before deciding not to buy. Samsung = too bright. LG = flat and lifeless. Whirlpool = chifi.

@Elnrik, next time, try Bosch/Siemens. They probably have a tie-up with Sennheiser. Miele doesn't work any better but lasts longer, and costs a lot more.

Avoid... anything with a fake-wood worktop.
