What cost $130? Someone to fix it? Or the part to fix it yourself?

Someone to fix it, with the part they custom make. Not really any parts avalible for me to fix it, and though I can fix basic electronics, everything inside is so small I wouldent know where to begin.

If nerd chic is what you're after just spend 25 bucks for the real deal: Casio Databank.

Get a funky G-Shock 5600-series. Tough nerd-chic and nobody can deny it is a good watch.

@Deep Funk As practical as a G shock is, I just cant get behind the looks. The plastic is what doesn't do it for me. This G shock I could get behind, if I had $500 https://www.gshock.com/watches/digital/gmwb5000gd-9
@JK47 I was actually thinking of getting one of those, but looking at reviews, the case is plastic, which is a bit disappointing.

Is it easy to extract the entire workings from inside the Pulsar (ie everything under the glass)? If so, replace them with the innards & display from a dollar-store LED watch and nobody will know the diff.

It is easy to extract, but the best part about these vintage led watches is the displays. Much more beautiful than modern led displays, as they use a bunch of tiny LEDs to make the numbers.

I still have my Pulsar watch. It is over 30-years old. I’d pay to fix it, but that’s because it looks good and has sentimental value.

Yeah, I mean mine looks good, but I just bought it on craigslist for $50, so no sentimental value. But still, looks good and is really cool and unique. I'm really thinking about getting it fixed.

Consider the Casio B640WB-1BVT. If fixing the Pulsar is too expensive a gold version of this watch could work...
