In addition to oscilloscope functions the 2204a can perform data logging. A very handy feature for things such as thermal warm up times.

This thing is WAY too fun. I kind of get the basics, but is there a good oscilloscope primer out there?

Lecroy and Tektronix occasionally put out some decent tutorials. Obviously have to take some things with a grain of salt since they obviously want you to buy stuff, but they usually are informative.
