I've been trying to get a demo of them for months! Is it true that they sound much much bigger than they are?

Heard or bought?

I bought a pair last June, replacing some Audio Physic floorstanders that retailed at nearly twice the price. The Dyns continue to blow me away. Yes Dub, they sound way bigger than their medium standmount size suggests.

Bass quality and control is stellar. Imaging is a big strength, but most of all that first order crossover make them sound seamless. I use them with a JL Audio sub, but could happily live without it. One of the few bits of kit I could see myself keeping for a very long time. Definitely get an audition if you can.

Ohhh i’ve been eyeing a pair , is it power hungry?

Surprisingly not. I know Dynaudios have a rep for being tough to drive, but these are pretty middle of the road in that regard ime. 70wpc Conrad Johnson power amp with a passive pre drives them very well in my approx 14' x 23' room.
