Ah, but that's not something app programmers usually think about. They consider it a system-level problem. Or a library problem. There are some libraries that "do the work" and throw it away because it's unneeded, simply for that reason, tho.

Actually, the reality is that most apps will run just as fast without a bunch of threads.

Just the look and feel of things, basically. It's a relatively faithful adaptation of the manga, but the animation doesn't match the quality of S1.

Also I just hate the HDR-looking style JC employs.

It's too faithful to me, in that they don't actually flesh out movements and just substitute with special effects. Like I said earlier, pretty much the manga with colours and audio thrown in.

I could rewatch S1 no problem, but S2 feels like they're just going through the motions (or the panels, to be precise), to the point that 90s anime seem to have better action.

Dude, go Pentax and hunt for the their old SMC-series manual lenses. They have no AF or AP functionality but do have sharpness and crisp colours you will love. I would almost recommend Nikon but that Nikon/Nikkor brand commands high prices and Nikon does not understand the importance of legacy lenses like Pentax.

I was reading a blog post on cheap used lenses today. It is all very interesting, and my one legacy lens does offer rewards all its own, but in general... Yes, one can buy lots of cheap lenses like that, but then why did I buy a body with sophisticated autofocus mechanisms. Might as well have bought an older camera too.

My next camera will be a Pentax K5 or K50/70. After that I am done with big DSLRs. If I had been a Nikonian I would have chased the D700/750, gotten the legacy lenses and stopped a long time ago.

More interested in something for open cans that keeps the soundstage & air, but would block the music from disturbing coworkers. And absorbs or greatly attenuates vs. reflecting.

But this could certainly be used for subwoofer tuning.

There are YTers who rip the shit out of their Ferraris and R8s. Just saying it is a sad old story that having money automatically means zero competence. In some cases yes, but I never cared for these people. Koenigsegg is more of a technology statement anyway. At least they drive the industry forward with new and cool designs like upper mentiond valve tech.

That’s not quite true, a lot of koenigsegg owners I think really like the idea of breaking records, so customer cars frequently get used to attempt records at tracks and stuff, or the Agera RS that was used to set the top speed record several months ago

Make a script to do most of that, and include your .rc and .login files, then make a `dotfiles` repo on github to house them (no secrets, of course).

Next time you need to do it, it's installing git, pulling, and running script(s).
