It may be the best transducer on the market under 50k for all I care but given the history of the product I'd hesitate to be so effusive in praising it.
I still wouldn't buy one, honestly, but you bet I'll be doing some side by side comparison with the Solaris. I'm not sure which I'll actually prefer - to me both are overpriced - but having loaner units means I don't have to pay up. :P
Despite his horrible business practices and garbage behaviour in general, Larry actually is a great engineer. The product really stands on it's own. It's a shame about LH.
The only LH Labs project I owned was the GOV2. First the 3D printed housing started to warp, then one of the LED's burnt out. I got in on the upgrade to the aluminum housing and after waiting 7 weeks when I originally promised 2, got it back and immediately sold it before it also broke.
Are you a little touched in the head or something? Even if this was the one legit thing in all of LH’s suspicious dealings and unfulfilled products one might think it wise to temper their public enthusiasm given the increasing likelihood of an absolutely monumental level of premeditated fraud. ->
At best you’re demonstrating a foolhardy childishness by thumbing your nose at everyone, in some sort of misguided rebellion against a non-existent “man”. At worst you are displaying elements of sociopathy by demonstrating low moral standing combined with a severe lack of emotional intelligence.
I just saw your last status update. Okay yeah, the Stella is a great pair of IEMs, I don't think anyone's gainsaying that. Rather, the company whose name is attached to them is demonstrably evil, so no matter their merit showing support is at best in poor taste, at worst what @BenjaminBore said.
