This is interesting, however it should have two things to work properly - frequency correction and head tracking.

Consider me skeptically optimistic. Also hope that if there is head tracking that it can be turned off.

I am speculating, but I have a feeling this will be similar to the Audeze Mobuis platform. They will probably not start to sell headphonesyet, just the data for EQ. I think Dirac is doing something similar, but without the HTRF.

Wow, what are they going to give us here? Head correcting headphones, like speakers with room correction?

(OK... the room correction runs on a PC, but that is getting picky)

This sounds a lot like Waves' head tracking/room emulation plugin that I tried awhile back. Kind of an approximation to speaker listening, but not close enough to be convincing (and degraded sound quality considerably, I would hope Genelec would improve on that aspect at least)

I think that is where it is going, once they get enough data. . I guess it will take the form of a monitoring plug-in for stereo, surround and Ambisonics formats. DSpeakers (Anti-Mode) has had some headtracking gear too and I wonder if this would be based on that?

@westermac excactly. It works fine for gaming, but yet have to be convinced of its usage for more critical usage.

Genelec surely knows good sound and they're from my neck of the woods too, eager to see what this is all about.
