    Studio albums sound better, but attending concerts is more visceral. Preferences I guess. Live albums usually sound like crap compared to studio versions, but I prefer them sometimes for more interesting arrangements.

    There is that live interaction that sometimes happens with the artist/audience that can't be replicated no matter how good the recording...it is a totally different experience from home listening, and not always worth it IMO depending on size of venue, acoustics etc. etc.

    Depends on the band for me, really. Mostly studio albums for me personally, but occasionally there'll just be a few live performances that have that bit of organic realism you don't get in a studio.
