If i may make a suggestion. The black background from the banner doesn't fit that well with the grey from the dark theme. Maybe try something like the blue from the theme as background?

I really enjoyed the Convert-2 when I heard it on the loaner, its the obvious step up from the Gungnir DS. But, I decided it wasn't worth the money vs the Gungnir I already had ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@Collusion i assume the search tool is part of whatever forum platform software is being used. It appears to be similar to Headfi, but on Headfi I can do 3 character searches. Overall I find the search tool works ok, but the 4 character minimum is one limitation I hit regularly, esp. for thread-specific searches.

Lol was thinking the same thing about the 3 character limit. Searching "DAC" in a thread is helpful. I think the search function on this site is excellent though.

Super Search tool on top allows for 3-letter queries. For specific threads, luck alone :))

I'll take mediocre speakers in a well treated room over better speakers in an acoustic nightmare room any day.

They’re a pretty nice looking small speaker yeah. I love the look of the woofer and the waveguide for the tweeter - pretty cool. The finish on the cabinet however I would call ok, but nothing special. Just a flat smooth white finish. I generally prefer wood grain finishes, but the extra cost wasn’t worth it. And the flat black is apparently a fingerprint magnet.

Love it. Although I think this is more of an indication that CD's are on a steep decline.

I have bought some vinyl this year, along with some cds. I don't have a turntable just yet though. If I had a turntable, I imagine just how much vinyl I would get.

I wish industry would read this as a cue to stop screwing up CD mastering. Instead, they’ll more properly interpret this as a hipster trend.

@rtaylor76, good point there. A well-mastered LP is likely to satisfy more than a compressed digital copy. Regardless of digital/analogue dogma.

One advantage of being based in a former age is that most of my digital music looks (wave-form) and sounds pretty much like my analogue music.

I don't believe in "high-resolution" digital audio. But when remastering to proper standards comes as part of the deal, it is probably worth buying, regardless of the sample rate. Or belief in it,

I scramble egg whites (keeping one yolk out of four) with mushroom, dry diced onion, green pepper and deli ham. Put it on to whole wheat burrito wraps and top with a little shredded cheese, wrap and freeze.

36 eggs minus 27 yolks works out well for the 8 burrito wrappers that come in one pack. Takes me roughly an hour of actual work to make 8 days of breakfasts than can be microwaved in the time it takes to make a cup of coffee.
