The Cure reminds me of Kate Bush and Siouxsie & The Banshees. Some songs feel like small universes with a symphonic coherence...

Think I'm alone thinking [The Same Deep Water as You] is epic and a beautiful transition into Disintegration, and you do need to be in the mood... also, in America, they use to skip Same deep water, we just don't get it-- lol

Imagine working 16hrs outside today in LA's heat, the only saving grace was that it was at the USC med school. Soooo many hot ladies... I cheated though, started at 3am.

I loved Fujifilm Velvia 50 and Kodak TMax.

The Velvia sim in the Fuji cameras is pretty good.

CaptureOne (even the free Fuji edition) has Velvia sim also, so maybe you could give that a try if you're shooting raws. The Pro edition also has it. IIRC they worked directly with Fuji for those looks.

I leaned a great lesson a couple of weeks ago. If you are cooking for a large group do your prep work way ahead. 18 people is a lot more cooking and coordination than I thought. And it was only Julia Child grilled burgers! Those minced shallots are so good.

Do not let your soul be trained out bro. It is hypocritical to say that all the mess that follows is absolutely necessary. Later when you hit bottom the hypocrites say you are weak! Keep it real and do not lean into bs (negative outcomes).

Girls can be thoughtless. I don't think they realize how difficult it is for someone to summon up the courage to ask them out.
Don't let a rejection bring you down, keep cheerfully asking other girls. There are several lovely ones just waiting for your paths to cross and to meet you.
