    I have a whole bunch of blue tubes in my big box of tubes. Really have to get my tester calibrated so I can start selling tubes...

    Curious to know your impressions of the JAR v stock HD650. Would appreciate extra data re: the mod given how much thoughts been put into its design.

    Tool Shed amps? Very cool looking amp, never heard of this company. Google time. Nice pic!

    I just thought to Google the name after Gaspasser's comment and read on their site that they voiced their Darling headamp using, among other headphones, the Klipsch HP-3.

    Hahahaha. Shit. No I do not need to try this amp.

    @m17xr2b yes 45s with an 80. it can also accept 2A3s with a 5Z3.

    The toolshed guy is into Klipsch and apparently gave some feedback to Steve Jain during development of the HP-3. He has recommended it to me heavily so I plan on getting a pair to check out.

    As for the JAR I do have a stock pair to compare it to but haven't gotten around to it yet. Will do so for the sake of science once the amp is broken in.

    Very cool. I modded the stellaris to accept 45s, won't be perfect but good enough, just waiting on the globes to be delivered.
    You can use 5U4 with adaptor instead of 5Z3, same tube just different base as I remember

    I somehow really rather doubt it'll suit your preferences, but it might make for an excellent flavour can. Looking forward to both sets of impressions!
