    Headphones really are a compromise. They're just the more viable alternative for a great many people, haha (not to mention they're usually less price-gougey)

    Budget monitors can already spoil headphones for you. Thankfully the HD600/650 sound very similar to well set-up speakers. Not joking.

    I’m having a very pleasant time with a pair of modded HE-560’s lately. Really good with acoustic guitar and strings. Not missing the sound of my speakers except for imaging. Headphones are a more intimate experience sometimes.
