I use mine for podcasts mostly and travel. It's a useful tool, just cringey with a lot of my favorite music.

Get a phone that has global EQ like OnePlus or such, and just EQ it.

You cant EQ with LDAC. Its stupid. It reverts it back to SBC if you start playing with EQ settings (Im using a Galaxy S9+, which outputs very respectable sound through the headphone jack)

Doesn't the Sony app let you EQ?

It seems a well-known limitation that you can only enable EQ when using SBC codec, not with LDAC for instance. I guess this may be down to lack of DSP power to do both simultaneously (or the latency would get too big, although that might not be such an issue for listening to music). Too bad.

Also too bad that support for global system-wide EQ is not standard for all Android devices. AFAIK the only way to do this consistently is by rooting.
