    Prog rock is my main thing, and Yes is one of the biggest groups in the symphonic prog era.

    Okay, I'm a fan. I have all their discography, lol.

    I'm only familiar with Close to the Edge, it was one of a few albums I decided on when I felt like broadening my horizons a bit, haha. It gets a few plays a month, but while I don't fancy myself a fan I love the album.

    I do enjoy some yes. Especially Drama. Also like a Close to the Edge and the Yes Album.

    Yes was the first album I bought, followed by Led Zeppelin. :)

    I believe the name was chosen for that very reason. Incredible musicians in I guess every iteration of the band. I always enjoyed them.

    I also like 90125; a lot of great songs on that album, all of which got a lot of radio/club play.

    I like Genesis too, I dunno if I'd say either is > than the other; they're different. And honestly, I need to go back on listen to more Peter Gabriel Genesis. I mostly heard Phil Collins Genesis growing up.

    @YMO I definitely listen to Genesis more than Yes. Lamb Lies Down on Broadway and Selling England by the Pound are my two faves.

    Genesis' Duke is actually in my car player at this moment. Think I will go find 90125 for a listen too. Txs.

    I wouldn't get too hung up on the different lineups. I still listen to the Union tour live versions (esp. Awaken) alot.

    Yes. In a Roundabout way. But seriously, Chris Squier and Bill Bruford are amazing.

    One of my very favorite bands to see live, back in the 70’s and 80’s. We were lucky they came through the area often back then.

    Apart from the name, I cannot remember anything whatsoever about Yes.

    Probably I should be ashamed of myself.

    @Thad E Ginathom Don’t feel bad. I don’t remember much about their 1974 show. :)

    what, like "If you remember it you weren't there?"

    There was a Pink Floyd concert in London that qualifies to be filed under that heading for me :)

    @Thad E Ginathom Yes. That’s it! But I vividly remember a Floyd concert in Oakland. They drove back from the hotel and played Careful With That Axe Eugene. After the show had been over for an hour. We just wouldn’t leave. :)
