Is this a dilemma for you? Is there silent central cooling? Do you tend toward the compromises of closed-backs or iems over open-backed or speakers with the intermittent rush of air?

1. Crank AC, no music
2. Shut off AC, listen to headphones
3. Begin to sweat after 15 minutes
4. Repeat

E_Schaff nailed it. I also have a pair of slightly modded Bose QC15s that have velour on the fronts of their pads that adds better comfort and breathability for when I really want some background music and isolation.

Hot and humid here. Blast AC until risk of hypothermia is severe, then turn everything off while listening to music.

Or, like, I just listen with my 60dBA air conditioner blasting away about 1.5m from listening position and accepting the fact that some subtle details will be lost because I don't feel too comfortable blasting high SPLs. Doesn't always suck, music can still be great with some background noise.

Listening room is on the opposite end of the house from the main AC unit.

1. Listen louder
2. Move listening rig
3. Naked

I notice but don't really hear the vent noise anymore, and I turn it up if I need to.

IEM's/naked works best but that's just me YMMV and all that

Only the celing fan bothers me when I am trying to listen to speakers in the same room.

Somehow listening to full-size headphones naked feels wrong, but listening to IEMs feels ok. Independent of temperature...

Actually, yes, there's silent central AC. I have 2 of them, and the neighbor has 2 more on the same side of our houses. They could all 4 be running and we could nearly have a whispered conversation.

New ones ain't cheap, though!
