    Now I think I can appreciate it for the soundscapey, sonic texture aspects, but overall not my bag. I think this could be something I come back to a couple times a year.

    The CD with 7 tracks sounds better for me. Not their best album but it is still a good effort.

    It’s a good album. But it doesn’t stack up to Lateralus. They sound tired. Too proggy. 7empest sounds like a flaccid version of Ticks & Leeches stretched out to 17 mins. In short, Tool on LSD > Tool on wine. But I’m still psyched to see them live in November.
