I personally think the Analog Super Nt looks better on modern tvs. There's blurring, blooming and smearing of pixels on the crts, while looking authentic is not as crisp. But that's my preference, tv also probably weighs 200lbs.

Hacked firmware to use completely legally, dumped from my own carts, roms is also a plus. And yeah, the TV apparently weighs like 165 lbs haha

The tube is great but it will not last forever. Just get the Super NT and call it a day.

Get the CRT, can always flip it later on if you don't like it. Input lag and motion clarity on OLED is still worse than CRT.

Yeah that was my main appeal with getting the CRT, Sample and hold display tech sucks for motion. Its the single biggest downgrade when I went from my Kuro plasma to an OLED

My KRP500 is still quite a bit worse when it comes to motion than my HM204DT, but then again CRT TVs aren't as good as PC monitors either.

Micro LED and emissive quantum dot, both sample and hold. I think the last future tv tech that wasn't was SED? it was supposed to replace plasma, but then it died. I think the problem is brightness, its hard to get without sample and hold.

That reminds me, I have to track down a CRT TV to play a few Point Blank/Gun Bullet games I still have stashed in a cupboard. The arcade version with actual recoiling pistols was one of my all time favorite multiplayer games right up there with Daytoma USA 8 player, and Gauntlet.

Used to sell those. My back hurts for you. Great for laserdiscs and vintage game systems though.
