Twas 3 days to Christmas, and in our house, the kitchen sink plumbing, had all gone south - aka no good deed goes unpunished

Ouch. Hopefully plumbers in your area aren't 2-3 weeks backlogged like they are in much of the country (or maybe you do your own basic plumbing)?

@yotacowboy - absolutely, the 7P's of any venture. In retirement my consulting agreements require two weeks advance booking. Emergencies with under the two week notice have stiff penalties associated. When asked about this by management I merely responded that they might consider planning better.

You can tell I've had a lifetime of schedule issues based on poor planning, lack of contingency planning. Always being asked for schedule estimates with ranges and adopting the shortest estimate as standard management practice.

Thank-you all for the thoughts. My mother has had a good 99+ year run. Her connection to audio began with being a telephone cord board operator in the 40's. I fortunately put a mic and recorder in front of her a few years back and asked questions about her life to capture both her voice and life history.

Not terrible but annoying to have taken vacation time from corporate specifically to catch up on some measurements, etc. only to spend time alternating between sleeping and tissue box. I shouldn't complain. At least I'm not being chased out of my home by hell fires with high winds. I hope all those affected in California will be ok.

Anyone that notices is welcomed in for a drink and a story or two.

Had T4 measurements completed awhile ago but updated format for one measurement and want to redo with new format.

bifrost-2 will go back to dBFS y-axis to avoid confusion

sw51+ presents some interesting opportunities and will require extra graphs.

It should be noted I am enjoying these components very much. Makes it hard to concentrate on measurements which feel more like work.

Ever since @johnjen modified these for me I have not heard other cans (at meets) that interest me enough to acquire. The closest I've come is the Focal Stellia and even then, at $3K I'm given pause. Maybe at $1K.

Actually, we also have water damage. We are building an extra room on the flat concrete roof. That roof is not the best roof in the world, and the building has disturbed it. But our damage (so far, fingers crossed) is limited to dripping water and some ruined paint which is only a year old. Hardly worth mentioning in this context, but I'm annoyed that the builder didn't forsee it.

@Azteca - That would make life easy for me but require pdf viewers on the readers' browsers. dScope reports generated are HTML and I'm exploring a combination of unix tools + photo editors + file manipulation to convert HTML to png such that I could upload 10 pngs in a row and have them self-documenting. Labeling uploaded graphs is one of the more time consuming, tedious tasks in my measurement posts.

My enjoyment of particular recreational music systems is inextricably intertwined with my personal preferences. The following lists are representations of my tastes in music, components and listening levels. The section on music is only a sample of my library but should provide sufficient insight into my musical preferences. I am rigorous and exacting with component measurements. That doesn’t automatically make my opinions worth anything without context. Use the following information to decide how well your own preferences converge or diverge with mine when I make comments about equipment in the forum. DO NOT blindly assume a positive comment from me about some component or headphone will automatically translate to auditory happiness on your part. Likewise you may find yourself enjoying something that I don’t. Consider (learning) your own personal preference.

I tend to listen at quieter levels where electroacoustic transducers exhibit greater linearity. Higher levels are more likely to have greater distortion and require higher power amplification. The result is substantial deviation in opinions by listeners attempting to compare headphones when they are listening at different levels.
