She was amazingly articulate. It was funny watching her tell the interviewer how nobody in China trusts audio magazines because they're all too obviously paid by manufacturers to promote certain products.
That's a nice review! My observation is that Chinese audiophiles love to talk about the difference among versions and iterations of a produce (HD600 for example), but don't like or even think about tinkering headphones themselves. One time I told a guy that I put TP in front of the drivers to lower the treble, and he was like: WHAT?!! Me: Eh... what what?
Great insight. I have observed some of the things she is talking about as well. My local headphone guy doesn't have a lot of midlevel products. Some popular lower-end products and then sky high stuff. I've also noticed a pretty common lack of research on stuff and a desire to have info served. Obviously these are general observations that are not true for all.
