Play with the buffer settings. JRiver sets it to 4096 and sound blurry to me, setting it manually to 64 or 32 results in increased clarity. To max it out run it with an LPS.
The convert 2 has a built in regulated switcher that’s probably more expensive and better than most lps. Most modern line level digital gear will have built in voltage switchers anyway. Linear is just better for poweramps though. Amps with regulated switchers always cheap out on the switchers and run out of current.
@Psalmanazar yeah the SMPS in the Convert-2 is designed for medical components (I looked up the part). Lol some jagoff tweaker replaced it with an LPS which supposedly made for better sound. Time to feed Koth's nervosa haha! Boost that air Koth!!!
