1. Anyone here have any experience with the Victor QL-F55 table and is it not horrible for under $80?

Yes to 2, it’s safe and appropriate. Nothing changed with the measurement equipment or process to the best of my recollection.

I think that table = the JVC QL-Y55F locally (does it look like https://www.vinylengine.com/library/jvc/ql-y55f.shtml ?). Don't know it myself, but presuming it works hifishark suggests yes. Reportedly though the electronics are not simple, isolation is critical, and the arm is fiddly to set up.

LOL, no it isn't the same as the Y55F - ignore me, I should've checked properly first. Might still be ok for $80 though.

Thanks, guys! Eh, I'm still on the fence about the table but it's something I've been wanting to get for a while— the not-bad price only adds to the want haha. I'm just operating on hearsay that it'll sound nicer than most modern entry level sets *shrug*
