That sucks. To be at the mercy of increasingly small pieces of plastic and circuits...

Bummer. But you can do it a bit more quickly second time around. When you've finished, take a backup --- for that third time around

Sorry to hear man. As someone who spends a lot of time just listening to stuff on their SD (cuz... phones are much more convenient than desktop systems) I've been there with crappy SD cards. What I do to help is partition my home server shiz so if something does happen to a card or whatever it's a quick copy/paste job.

.... as quick as your gear will let you write to the card anyway. Slow on my end cuz 2015 midrange laptop haha.

Hope you get that replaced! 2 days is ridiculous.

Jesus, I have had at least 10 different micro SD cards for music, and every single one is still going strong (all Sandisk). Didn't realize I had been so lucky.

This one's a brand that was new to me (ADATA) and is also the biggest I've yet tried (128). My smaller Sandisks & Kingstons are still going strong after years.

I have not been unlucky with one either, but have certainly heard of people who have. I'm currently up to a 128Gb card in my camera! Seems huge, but I filled it in a few months.

I don't do much portable music. But when I do, I have a directory tree full of MP3s (Hey, SDs were smaller then) and I could recreate the SD in... well, not too long.
