Food in Chiang Mai is amazing. Have you had the spicy sausage? I've not come across anything like it anywhere else in the world.

Man I haven't been to a Pancake House in ages and this makes me miss it. Quality of the local ones kinda went to poo recently, glad there are great ones around.

    Spicy sausages. Mmm.

@Lyander I feel like this is not part of a franchise. @JustAnotherRando Yeah, I'm a fan of Chiang Mai food both Thai and otherwise but I don't think I've had the sausages.

@DigMe Say wha-- Don't miss the sausages! Locals call 'em "Sai-Oua," you might have heard about it? Anyway, go with haste, my Friend, embrace the sausages!

You *have* to try it. They're the long curly ones. If you can't do convincing Thai pronounciation, "Chiang Mai sausage" in restaurants also works.

I looked it up, different Pancake House lol. Figured it was a franchise and a case of region-specific exclusives, turns out that they just shared a name :))

This thread made me look up those sausages. f**k it now I'm hungry.

I tried the sausages tonight. Pretty good. The flavors are unmistakably Thai. You feed me that in Dallas and its taking me straight back to Thailand.

My son, on the other hand, had Auntie Anne's pretzel dogs for dinner. What can I say? He loves his fast food.
