For disinfecting, it /must/ be diluted with some water. Apparently, the alcohol alone does not break down the cell wall of bacteria. Don't know if this applies to viruses to.
For vinyl and general-purpose de-greasing, cleaning, etc, add a few drops of washing-up liquid.
I keep a bottle on my desk. Originally, it was the vinyl-cleaning solution, but it is a long time since I played records. Now it is used as a general purpose cleaner, eg for spectacles, but I do use it as a disinfectant. If, for example, I kill a mosquito on my skin, I spray and wipe off. Also, cleaning clinical thermometers etc.
