Bought a handful of reissued New Order 12" singles. Cleaned, now converting to digital. These are good pressings!

Two different versions of "Ceremony," and one of "Everythings Gone Green." I do have a 1985 reissue of "Blue Monday" that I picked up at a Tower Records in NYC back in the day.

So crazy how both headphones look the same in basic construction down to the diver, yet sound way different. I still miss my D2000's and wish one driver did not have to blow out.

The old denon D2,5 and 7000’s were awesome. I started with the D5000 and moved to the D7000 when you could get them used at a good price.

I have watched the first season of True Detective once a year since it debuted. One of the finest crime thrillers ever made.

It's unapologetically junk food, but really good junk food. Loved the entire show, it's one of those series I sat and waited for. Likable characters IMO, and that counts for a lot.

Reminder to those who are newcomers to vinyl and styluses:

Always brush in parallel to arm, and /never/ side-to-side.

Is there a difference between a "regular" black vinyl LP and a colored vinyl LP [besides color]? Same release - just different color.

I've had a few decent color pressings but that seems to be the exception not the norm. Having said that, I generally get colored ones if I can unless I know it's exceptionally well recorded.

The hardness can vary on the dye. Same is said for lacquer dyes as well on wood. Not a huge deal unless you plan on playing 1000+ times.

Picture discs are bad. Stay away unless you are hanging it on a wall.

"Woke", the best way to be "woke" is to silently prove the stupid wrong, when they notice you well you are already moving on. When they insist in their attitude, be like Erasmus.

I seem to remember... You check it under a strong magnifying glass. Audiophools probably have special microscopes. I don't know what strength. You just need to be able to see any chips or damage.

Dirt might be more likely than damage?

Good to know about water cooling. I’ll stick to a properly sized case with good heat sink, good fans, and good airflow. Always works.

        Oh absolutely.

But both are equally daft things to spend money on, let's be honest - a reasonable person stops at a Noctua and Hel.

Reasonable pursuits is not why we're here xD

I never thought I'd move to AIO but I did for my ITX build. Finally jumped on a Ghost to try it out and I've never had a quicker build in my life.

(under 30 mins end to end to build in the ghost without rushing)

I really enjoy building custom loop (did quite a few custom machines as a side job) but not a fan of those maintenance routine , for me it’s something really soothing when i bend those petg/acrylic tubes and installing them in place.

But yeahhhhhh, just stick to air or aio’s , everyday-use machine is much better that way.

FWIW... AMD vs. Intel - For gaming, Intel is still king, but for productivity, Ryzen 9 3900X’s 12 cores are tough to beat.

I just built a Ryzen 9 3900x last night. I definitely like it more than my old 7700, cooler and seems faster than anything I've ever had before. Watercooling is so much easier now.

RE: SLI - For RDR2, my real bottleneck was my old i5 processor. The 2x 2070 Super were a good improvement over 2x 970, but Ryzen 9 = wow!
