    Historically, that's one playback program I hear the least amount, if any, difference when comparing to newer versions. But I have not used in a year or so since migrating to jriver.

    I use f2k just because... free, and though there are audible improvements with A+ and JRMC (moreso latter, could be DSP I missed cuz trial use), my mid-tier stuff says it's an investment for much later.

    No audible changes going up f2k versions, no plugins or DSP. Hassle too, upgraded for the first time in about 2 years last week and forgot to save playlists. Argh.

    Oh, but WASAPI push>event. Have @tommytakis to thank for that I think. Just slightly less harsh (poss. placebo), plus visualisations run smoother :P

    Foobar updates are only good if the components that you are using is also updated and only works with the newer version of Foobar.

    But very rarely are new versions of jrmc worth getting. I'm still on v22. It still plays all my stuff. (Haven't used it in ages since I got Roon, I will admit.)
