Thinking about it, no duh, but I feel power delivery doesn't matter as much for BA IEMs as DD. None of the usual improvements IME. Mar 26, 2024 at 8:17 PM

@CEE TEE I kid you not, up until an embarrassingly late age I always figured that had something to do with the sport.

In my quest to get the ZDT Jr. repaired (yes, still at it!) I have come to strike up a convo with a cool local amp maker. I love this hobby.

Had the same experience in my quest to get SW51+ repaired! The amp maker/repairman I met was really grumpy and didn't like to say anything more than 2 words per minute though ("Hmm?" "No." "Get out.") which was pretty entertaining and endearing in a way.

IMO he gets some points docked for acknowledging Harman (semi-serious) but his testing is pretty comprehensive and if he measures a few more headphones it'll be easier to triangulate. Just irked because he changed his gear up partway through so some measurements won't be directly comparable.

Whole album is a throwback to her earlier vibe but more ethereal/sentimental-sounding with some prolly deliberate "behind the curtains" sounds that add to the candid feel. Lo-fi pop sensibilities shine through in the production, it's very sueddu.

Lyrics are hit and miss. Some have pretty imagery but a lot reads as being written for herself. Not bad though.

Haha yes I certainly can, just glad I had an unexpected reserve of the stuff for when I randomly got really irritated by the squeaking.

Given it's the runnier sort of grease I fully expect to have to redo it, so I plan to order "better" silgrease for when the need arises soon as I'm able.

Oh I definitely think it was staged, just saying that as someone new to Tree I didn't know what to expect from an interview and was caught COMPLETELY off-guard, haha.

To me he's like a Joji character turned up to 12, the videos are mad and giddy; I prefer Tree's music though.
