Riding in the SoCal HOV lanes on a regular on my motorcycle. The biggest douche bags are Tesla drivers (no handed auto pilot while day dreaming) followed closely by the Prius (two handed white knuckled driving @63.5mph = rookie that shouldn't be on freeway). Tesla also by far the largest offenders of texting and driving I have encountered as well, and just overall douche baggery.
Tesla has some catching up to do wrt cars. Hard to beat 50+ years of experience. On top of the pedigree Porsche have teamed up with some players on the field of E-Supercars.
I believe the Macan and Q5 share the same platform, but suspension design is totally different. The Macan (no "S") has the same engine as the Golf R (we really regret not getting the real V6 Porsche engine ...$) but has more than enough torque and power.
The Q5 is front wheel drive biased, while the Macan rear biased 4WD. I didn't bother to test drive the Q5 after reading reviews, but drove the X3 and there was no comparison in handling and steering feedback. Told the wife if she was going to make me drive an SUV it was going to have to be the Macan. PS the new tail lights suck, glad we got the OG
@JK47 close, it's the same platform as the Audi Q5. IIRC Porsche did the engine development on everything except for the 4cyl (VW EA888 2.0 TFSI) and the diesels. True Porsche PDKs in them, too.
