Follow up status: legitimately thought a bomb went off in my neighbourhood a few minutes ago, apparently was just very inconsiderate thunder. Nearly shat myself, it was that loud.

@Thad E Ginathom I learnt of it because my sisters bought a tray from their friend earlier today. It... just tasted like regular non-traditional sushi, though the ingredients were perhaps better integrated into a whole via a mess of dressing and sauce.

I don't think they should be allowed to call it "sushi." I assure hope they don't have any respect for themselves

I’ve had some baked sushi rolls I’m pretty sure. The one I had was not bad at all

Convenience or grocery store bought sushi (entire set or tray, not individual pieces) can be thrown in the microwave for 20 or so seconds to warm up the sushi piece just enough to give it that fresh from the chef's hand taste...

LOL I'm sure that many would turn their noses up at it but it's like convenience store bento sushi but slightly more casserole-like with stronger flavours.

Had crispy nori wraps, used them like lettuce for ssam.
