    1988-1989. this was the final year of flagship philips-based machines before cost cutting started. the entire underchassis of this player is cast copper. it weighs 10kg.

    k4rstar, if you have any transports you are willing to part with now that you have your dream player, I would be interested to hear what you have. If not I would still be interested in the makes/models of some good ones to look for on the used market!

    I have 6 philips based machines now. in the not so distant future I will be selling 5 of them. the goal is to keep the CD880 and one TDA1540 based machine. first I have to listen to everything, compare, take pictures.
