        @GoodEnoughGear, you saying I'm old?

        You're right! And I remember the name Roneo (not to be confused with Boneo!) And am not sure which machine it was. Was it the one that produced pink/purple type? Then there was the one with the drum full of ink and a typed stencil: they type cut through a wax layer.

        Ah, yes, I certainly do remember that; I remember the sweet-spirit smell. In fact I don't think it died out until photocopiers became widespread. Didn't Xerox's patent mean that they were all *their* huge, very expensive, per-copy-licenced boxes before then?

        Also the shaft is two different sizes. My goal is to find the two diameters of the shaft to prevent the system from vibrating at its natural frequencies.

        Not sure if you two are ribbing or serious but here's a quick sketch:
        https://ibb.co/brjjFf2

        Pack sand in bag tight enough that the feet won't bottom out with no sand underneath but not so tight that it can't move and absorb vibration on it's own. Table salt can also be used in place of sand.

        @fp627 Not ribbing, muchas gracias for the diagram. I seriously hadn't seen this application of sand in audio before, only weighing down speakers stands, etc. What kind of material do you use for the bags?

        Ziploc bags only b/c cheap and readily available although getting the right size bags or tupperware can be annoying. Double bag if you are worried about sand getting out. And of course be careful with anything that may rip or melt bags or otherwise cause a spillage of sand/salt.
