It seems like even folks with summit-fi headphones keep an HD6X0 in their stable, but interested to see what replies you get. I'm thinking about picking up an E-MU Teak as a complement to my HD600

TH-X00 Ebony was a marvelous complement to the HD650 back when I had both at home.

Alternatively, the Klipsch HP-3 has stayed with me for far longer than expected. Apart from elevated treble and maybe too much bass (YMMV) the sonic profile is thoroughly enjoyable. Just miffed by aftersales and some build issues.

I also have a soft spot for the HE1000v2 even if the presentation isn't "daily driver" material to me.

Try a vintage AKG K240 Monitor or K240 DF. With some power the drivers in those headphones wake up. Some people Swear by their K340. Crazy AKGs can be very enjoyable.

Utopia, Verite, SR1a. Auteur can also be considered but it's a step behind the aforementioned stuff.

If "moving on" doesn't strictly mean "moving up", Elex is a great option that won't require you to sell your kidneys.
