Has anyone tried these KLEI banana plugs? I’ve unfortunately heard significant differences between connectors not always favoring $$$ Apr 15, 2024

It says, "we only sell new, unopened, unused products that order us directly from the manufacturer."

I forgot to mention I checked the site with a few fraudulent website checkers. UrlVoid gives it a clean report across the board but the domain was registered 2 months ago! There’s a red flag.

I’m having a 385$ Sigma 11 linear power supply built for my 300$ 789 (I paid less though). This thing is going to sing! It better....

I’ve bought like 30 pairs of earpads for my T50rp and still can’t find one that sounds right. I need to make my own.

Nahh! The T50rp is awesome. But earpads have a huge effect on the sound. Most commercially produced headphones experiment with the earpads extensively. I’m not sure how I can do that but I need to figure out a way. I still have a whole bunch of pads coming from AliExpress though maybe I’ll luck out.

I had a pair of Tx0 modded to Argon. Just tried the BM5 angled pads and it was super tight fit and caused a slight tear...They sound fantastic. I am finally getting all the bass.

I have every brainwavz pads they make (a lot!) and none of them are perfect but I’m working on accommidating my mod for one of them. I don’t like the angled or regular pleather/leather but hope to find a way to make them work. I have no idea how to have custom pads made but many modders have done it - zmf, mr speakers, etc so there must be a secret I’m not privy to

Stop making people want to spend money on vintage orthos, the conditions of which can't be easily discerned via eBay listings! D:<

@E_Schaaf my posts in the he5xx thread weren’t directed at you. I’d love to hear your modded electrodynamic Fostex someday they sound good by your descriptions. But I didn’t sign up for the loaner because I can’t really use full size headphones right now and you’re better off with people who know the competition and market and might buy one. Or write a meaningful review.

It's ok, learning is collaborative! We are on the same team not loving neo planars (despite the ridiculous amount of effort I put into modding many of them). Maybe it's not fair for me to write off the general tech so quickly. I did love my Maggie 3.6R's when I had them... I'm glad the story aspect of planar design is finally coming forward, I really do value the context you've provided.

I should have waited and started a thread about it instead of responding to your post. A lot of people say the same I just read your post at a time when I felt like writing about it. Definitely on the same team! I can tell you’ve spent a lot of time trying to fix/improve headphones and I respect that. Someday I’m sure I’ll hear one of your creations.
