How did you end up choosing this amp over whatever other amp/s?

Also, brief impressions when ready?

I just did a lot of reading. I wanted something SET and DHT, and for speaker amps, I knew a 300b wouldn't be enough for my Acoustic Zen Adagio. So that narrowed it down to the 845, or maybe a 211 amp? And some friends have told me the 845 is an excellent sounding tube.

Other than that, I was looking for reasonably priced options and the Line Magnetic 845ia/518ia and Coincident 845se stood out. Then I picked based on random biases for the tube compliment and other peoples impressions of the Coincident.

The only issue was waiting for one to pop up used since they aren't made as an integrated anymore, only as a pair of mono blocks for 3 times as much money.

And yeah, Im sure ill post some impressions, though Im not sure against what. Maybe the Pass INT-25 im still borrowing from @famish99 , but I preferred the Aficionado to that, even with the compromises

@brencho dat 845 warmth would help keep things from shrinking even in cold weather

Lol the Supra struggles to put the power it has down, heaven help it if it had more

Of all the tube set that got shipped to me with the amp, all of them made it in one piece except one of the 6em7 input tubes. Luckily id bought another set of those a week or so back, so I was still able to get up and running today.
