    It's a RBO state (registration purpose only), you can get tags without transferring your title to TX if your vehicle was titled in another state (regardless if there's a lien on it or not).

    FL is not like this and if your car is financed it will take one-four months to get your perma tags after moving to FL, since your finance company needs to give FL tax collector office the pervious state's title. It's a bitch.

    Yeah, no bullshit. The reg letter has two areas for stickers. One area is marked void because it's more motorcycles and such. This was explained as a money saving and efficiency measure (no need for two different forms).

    Texas plates are more cheaply made too. The letters are not stamped like in CA. I love cheap with the savings passed on.

    Too bad they still require two plates, and not one like most of the Southern states. I think they do the two places for cameras for tickets.

    @YMO also now all of the toll roads in Texas use cameras. If you don’t have a toll tag they just take a pic and send you the bill.
