Having owned both, I think G2 is a little bit more evenhanded and has a little less "character", though its still analog sounding. I don't think there is much difference technically between them anymore (unlike G1) so its down to synergy.
Thank you @ColtMrFire , I upgraded my G1 to G2 and like you said , there is a little less character compared to G1 and from what i read even compared to yggdrasill A2 . Anyway, I was curious how much technically improved is yggdrasil compared to G2, especially in soundstaging and imaging as I listen to the speakers and I really appreciate these qualities.
@Kolozub i dont use speakers so cant really say on that front. Y2 might be slightly more solid with the imaging, but we're talking small degrees of difference, not enough to be a knock against G2.
I am trying to resist for so long :)maybe it is better to wait for another gungnir multibit upgrade to have fun with new toy . More wallet friendly solution.
if you have a resolving enough amp and speakers, you might appreciate some difference, and if you can afford it, Y2 would be a bit better. But i honestly think a nice vinyl rig is a better buy at $2K than a Y2 if you already have G2, or even a mid-fi vinyl rig with G2 being the digital portion. i think i may go that route soon.
