My wife calls all of my gear "headphones", even if it's not a transducer. I've started referring to everything not worn on my head as an "amplifier", even if it's a DAC, EQ, whatever.

I told her I wasn't going to buy any more headphones after Stellia, then came SFD-1. She complained, "You said you weren't going to buy any more!" I said, it's an "amp". She said "Whatever, it's all headphones!"

I’ve learned that my partner is less inclined to complain if my Hifi additions “look nice”. She likes my Omega 3xr speakers because they are Zebrawood and the ZMF for similar reasons.
