I always feel ambivalent whenever seeing end-game items in one hobby are priced lower than entry/budget ones in another hobby.. Mar 22, 2024 at 4:49 PM

Synergy and brain training make a world of difference. I think it is a combo meal of what our systems bring to the table combined with what we want to hear.

For the past few months, many solid contenders (Hive, HE6, SR1a, etc) challenged to dethrone Vo, but none of them didn't screw my Verite belief this much..

I’m on the other side of the fence. I think the Mg technical resolves very well but still too dark for me. The Verite still has nice sparkle even with the Universe pads.

I must be a dark/laid-back head. Even with well-recorded tracks, every item in my checklist easily ticked on the (so-called) muted range. Verite slightly better though.

Junky recordings freak me out. Everything sounds with perfected clarity and gradation. I hear what I'm not supposed to hear. Particularly in vocals. Maybe fakes. But I don't think I resolve this much even with utopia.

Also, CMG enables to hear double tracking (quite frequent in recordings I mentioned above) analytically AND entertainingly. Not many headphones can do both simultaneously -- even in such a low dynamic range context. What a trick.

With all the undeleted scenes and presentation back, the story now made perfect sense providing watchers with a series of well-defined philosophical discourse. Logical jumps or ambiguous narratives were made by (possibly) funders, not by the director Snider.

Nolan's Batman/Bruce could be still more easily understandable, but Snider's take is far more profound to me.

Interesting to see somethings in common: (1) beyond certain technical capability, (2) forgiving highs, (3) sin-committing spatiality, (4) crazy scaling with better upstream, and (5) most importantly presentation to die for.

I think I have especially high (biased) expectation on #2, #3, and #5.
