Sorry @gixxerwimp I was referring to the synthesized "hand clapper" that is so prevalent in electronic/pop music these days. Something like this: https://www.audiothing.net/instruments/hand-clapper/

Oh, and yea you nailed it - that's when the point it comes in (at 3:30). For me it's an overused sound that I almost always find distracting and detracting from the music.

There is nothing musical about the clap. Except, maybe in Flamenco. Synthesised clap must be even worse. I see it even has a randomness button, so the electronic clappers can get it wrong, too. Shit.
