Due to covid lockdown, not to mention weekend, no idea when we can get it fixed. Until we do, we have only dribble-pressure water in the taps, shower, etc.

And some stuff to dry out.

Sorry to hear that. In-home "disasters" are a hassle. We had rolling blackouts 2 days ago that bricked my NAD D3020 and killed my NAS. Good luck!

Sorry you're goin through it. I know that exact 3 am nightmare scramble. Did it twice last year! Really makes you appreciate all of the time you spend not having that in your life. But I at least had water. Hope you can at least get that going before the weekend, ends.

Ah crud. At 3:30 no less....these things never happen in the middle of the day, do they? Best of luck Thad.

You just don't seem to be catching a break. So many life challenges in the last short period of time. Hope things get better soon.

Thanks all. It has not been a good couple of days, but it has been only two days. As yet, at least <fingers crossed>

We have water. Just, it is direct from storage tanks just above the ceiling, so the pressure is negligible without the booster pump.

The pressure is /normal/ for many Indian small houses, so I can't complain /too/ much. Showers are the thing that are really bad.

And no through-floor leaks. It's a concrete terrace slab. It leaked where it joins a separate small toilet+shower building, but that's outside.

I think @atomicbob had a /really/ bad experience with water not so long ago? Ours was a relatively minor clean-up job

Yes, my flood was worse. But it didn't happen during the middle of a life threatening pandemic, nor coincident with the loss of a furry feline companion. Please take care.

    Thanks @atomicbob.

Sometimes, when I see this forum described as being unfriendly, I think, wait... we are a bunch of softies! When someone has a sick pet, or is ill, or in some trouble, one sees nothing but the softest of hearts. :)

<crossposted> Thanks, @Claritas. Sure, today is ok apart from the cat-shaped hole.

Our pressure pump is by Grundfoss. That, at least in this part of the world, is the Rolls Royce of pumps, and their service is pretty good. But this is covid lockdown.

My wife managed to get the number of someone who can help. He came this morning, and took away the parts that need replacing. Hopefully, within a day or two, we will have everything right again.

Plumber came yesterday, went to get parts. Returned today.

One part is wrong, so we are on dribble water still.

Covid lockdown: essential shops only, and that only for a few hours in the morning. So getting plumbing parts is like black-market shopping! Luckily these tradesmen know their suppliers and arrangements are made. But today, the supplier said there were police in his street, some tomorrow.

There was a brief opening up of shops before one week of strict lockdown (so everyone could spread the virus anyway I suppose) and we got our part. Pressurised water again. Yay. :)
