Beats the Jottenheim 2 IMO. More natural sounding and just as technically proficient (from memory) somehow. I’d love to put a Sigma 11 LPS behind one and see what happens. Not going to though of course.

How is it with your LCD2-Classic? I have the Magni 3 (not plus) and found the LCD2-Classic to open up more with the Jot 2 and had been planning on getting that amp instead.

I think the J2 has a bigger sound but there were things I didn’t like about it’s tonality. The Magni 3+ doesn’t have those and is plenty powerful for Audeze. I would take the Magni 3+ over J2 for LCD-2C. But you can read my review of the J2 you may disagree.

That was my reaction to the IEMagni and I’ve been very tempted to grab a b-stock Magni 3+ since that loaner.

I’m tempted to grab one too just as a backup amp.

I think we're going to have to have an original Mjolnir loaner tour.

Mjolnir 1 is better than Magni 3+ in every way except it’s balanced out only, and I’m pretty sure 99% of rhythm devils’ collection is single ended.

My Modded LCD-2C has balanced cables on it. But my rig is set up for SE input only. Because my SOHA is SE and a very special incoming custom made amp will be SE.

MJ1 can accept SE or BAL in, and BAL out only.

Why is it discontinued? And does MJ1 sound better than 2-3?

MJ2 was recently discontinued due to parts shortages. Debate still ongoing between MJ1 and MJ2. I do know there had to be some compromises and workarounds to incorporate tubes into MJ2.

Bad move adding tubes. An Uber Magni 3+ would be such a great amp.
