Mjolnir 1 or 2? Why have a passive preamp when Mjolnir has volume control?

You really love your A1. For me it's kinda similar to the HEKv1 vs v2 and SE situation I had. V1 is just another kind of special while the others got sold. Technically better, yes, tonally not at all.

@Woland Mjolnir 1. I have the pre because I have sensitive headphones and IEMs that have little play on the pot without a pre.

@Huhnkopf Just as you say, the A1 has special ineffable qualities that I value above sheer technicalities.

@purr1n Yep, OG! @Azimuth, @Ksorota, and @Erroneous turned me on to it and the amp is truly remarkable. At the current prices I’m tempted to buy one as a backup!
