It’s a great park really. Lots of good family park activities always going on there. Pretty shocking.

Shootings are way up in my town, year over year (going back 6 years.) I wonder if they're just becoming more commonplace in general? Glad you're ok!

Do they know if it's gang related? Did they "look like people who would do this"? I.e. gang members, drug dealers, etc do not usually look like joe blow at home.

Either that or "everything" is up after covid induced manias b/c everyone feels A N G E R Y meow.

@penguins Doesn't sound like it’s gang-related from the updates I’ve heard so far. I’m around this court all the time going to the playground with my kids, playing disc golf etc.. never seems like an ominous crowd there though there is some loud trash talking at times.

Take care! The people crossing the border aren't always good guys. Violent crime is way up in TX this year and some indications show it's from border crossers.

I keep wondering how it is down in Corpus where Marv is…much closer to the border, but not necessarily a town attracting the bad types.

Thats really random, dude. There is no reason to assume this was a “border crosser”

I didn't mean to imply it was. Just siting the fact that Texas isn't as safe right now as it usually is.
