It's like the engineers actually listened to their product during development and probably also compared them to proper audiophile headphone and speaker rigs.
And yes, the bass boost is still there, but I don't even hate it due to how clean it is.
I like mine for the most part. Very clean sound. I just wish there was a little more presence in the mids. Bass is boosted as you say, but well controlled.
I also like mine and agree with all your thoughts. Will be comparing them to an Audeze Penrose loaner sometime next week. I had comfort issues, Dekoni nuts, I mean nuggets, fixed it.
Might have to compare against the Audeze Penrose aswell. The rtings measurements look similar enough that I'm sure I'd love the tonality on that thing, too.
PM-3 with HA-2 is another interesting comparison. From what I've heard so far, kinda on even footing.
Ive had AirPods max since they released and basically haven't listened to any other headphones since I got them. Sure they don't sound as good as a well amped HD800SDR, but they sound damn good and are so convenient. these days its just them or speakers for me
