Doesn’t matter mechanically i think. All the mechanical spring loaded contacts are in the cable and thus easily replaced unlike apple’s lightning connector.
not sure about spring loaded, but micro usb is the worst. Just try using it when on the go like in a pocket or backpack, it WILL disconnect. Put me off ever using separate phone to dac/amp or dongle on the go.
As someone who uses an android tablet several hours a day and has for many years, USB-C is at the borderline where when I fall asleep with the tablet on the bed and it falls, it'll rip the socket out of the pcb instead of bending the plug.

You're probably right, and I was overthinking on the USB-C thing. I've been using various USB-C things for a year and I like how easy the cable system is plus the added future features.
Micro USB drove me nuts with the Chord Mojo, was forever replacing cables which wore out. USB-C seems much more sturdy. Although I understand its size limitations, plain old USB-A and USB-B are still my favourites.
