Noooooo that would mean no more modding LCD headphones for me. Please no. They look legit though who would spend that much time to make fake Audeze images. This isn’t Apple.
I agree @nishan99 they look awful. I much prefer the simple industrial design of the current LCD's. They are comfortable, the problem is weight and size, which is not fixed by fancy edges.
Their basic issue is that they put rectangular drivers into a HUGE round baffle for no apparent reason. Really improving ergonomics and weight would mean rectangular baffle ala Stax Lambda or oval shaped drivers and oval enclosures.
I dunno, that looks kinda like a render from some design student - and that marketing tag is a bit too clumsy to come out of Audeze. Remember, Audeze's got enough bux to pay BMW Designworks for the EL-8s. I haven't been keeping up on who they've been farming out their ID to lately, tho.
Its leaked from a design company called boombang. They obviously had a page ready to go hot, and someone put it out too early. The page is now password protected but if you google images search "audeze lcd5 boombang" two of the photos still pop up. Someone posted an LCD-5 thread with the photos on HF and it got deleted QUICK. I think Audeze reaaaaally didn't want these images out there.
