Broke out the HD600, because it does 1/8th connector without an adapter and that's what I'm having to use just now.

Headband cushion: foam gone, completely, feels like empty fabric.

Earpad foam discs (one was going when I last used anyway) disintegrating. Worse, disintegrating but slightly sticky. Had to clean up

Managed to get a third-party headband cushion next day. It's fine and comfortable.

To get that foam bit, I have to wait a month. Comes with new pads. the pads actually seem ok.

I wish the HD800 pads were this easy to get off and replace! Not replaced yet, but removed to clear up the degraded foam.

Environmentally friendly biodegradable headphones, there's a missed marketing opportunity.

Never had foam issues, but the pleather-fake-whatever headbands on the lower models always had a short life for me. I probably when through five or six of them on the HD280 over its lifespan.

My brother got a cheap set from Allie expres that's fine and cheap for his 600's

Thinking of putting some very thin cloth to keep the dust and cat/human hair away form the drivers. I'm on a bot of ropey temporary setup just now: highest of fi is not the priority.
