Always been the case but they've been asking for feedback months after the fact lately. Guess the e-retailer landscape got much more competitive is all.

I had electrical work in my house done in 2018. About 6 months ago the provider must have implemented feedback request software, now I get email every two weeks asking for a review. I think this has gone beyond e-retailers unfortunately.

Actually, just tried out the jvc fd-01 on Phonitor. There is very little hiss unless I crank it up to max. if you need more volume lower in the pot, you can put it on high gain, but with no added noise.

i want no DAPs. ever. if a dongle or Gryphon with iPhone doesn’t pair well i move on.

I have fallen asleep to some jazz at times, even free jazz as well. More recently it is more ambientish music such as Johann Johannsson, Slow Meadow etc.. I think they’re more resolving than HD6XX but then I’ve never found them very resolved. They are fast they almost sound like orthos to me.

Maybe at first, but I'l do a separate loaner with just the headphone. So you can have both the amp and headphones or just the headphones. Up to you.

LCD-4 is probably the best. Resolution and very low distortion giving them a clean, smooth presentation. LCD-R is next, with a unique presentation of detail and tube iike tonality. Detail is almost pushed to the front with the LCD-R. But they're not as refined as the LCD-4 and I don't think they're more resolving, just that details are more obvious.

Then LCD-X which is not that far behind either. I think my modded LCD-X is the best for price/performance.

Then probably my modded vintage Yamaha HP-1 Anistropic. Then My YH-3

Then my modded HE6se. I think some people would place this higher on the list, I'm just not a fan of the Hifiman tonality which can only be changed so much with mods.

There's a 4z b-stock listed on Audeze's BF sale page, it has your name on it @rhythmdevils . Maybe you can use to figure out how to mod the Audeze variants using the MG chassis?

It used to always be PM (Private Message) on forums. On social media it’s DM (Direct Message). It just says that you’re social media saavy and haven’t been around audio forums for that long if you say DM.

Yes, I definitely agree I would rather them stop now than fade into shiftiness like so many bands who keep going (Phish *cough*). But they seem like they have a lot of creative energy left.

The last Big Red Machine album reminds me of The National's sound a lot, but just missing other elements that add complexity to the sound.

I assume if they did make another album it wouldn't' be for a while since the individual members have to tour their solo projects. Sad for music lovers but a reality.

I feel like they were still expanding their sound though. Room for more creative growth.

TN are probably my favorite current band as well... in fact it isn't even close for me. Discovered them after they released Boxer when they opened for REM.

I thoroughly enjoyed BRM and Berninger's solo record. They are not done yet! The Dessner bros are killing it with their creativity and as long as Matt and his wife don't run dry with those signature lyrics, the quality will still be there for the next record.
