I know I’m not hearing the actual speakers but when he switches from the very nice sounding box speakers to the Spatial open baffle, I was pretty blown away. Listen with your most revealing and bass capable headphones.

Interesting. That amp he is using is way overdamped for Klipsch Hereseys. The open baffle dynamics were right, but the tone was off because the open baffle. Always a tradeoff. I liked the first ones the best.

@E_Schaaf They do all sound like my headphones, but when my headphones are ETA Minis that's not a complaint...

I've only heard the spatials at shows, but they are very, very convincing. So much so that my long-ish term goal is to DIY a version of my own. That tweeter makes that speaker possible.

I mean, it is the same concept as open back headphones. Just now you have the room to deal with. It is a reason he did that video with the speakers sitting in the middle of the room. Just drawbacks to consider.
