you're a bad influence (with good taste). These speakers (albeit used) break my rule that no frivolous purchases can be greater than my mortgage payment. I'm inclined to say hard stop.
Depends on "good" and "completely" (and current financial status). But I'd prol jump in. Otherwise, it will be very hard to rule out "what if" -- 100% sure *What if' moment* will eventually come sooner or later...
I love being satisfied, but if you already know what your “forever” speakers are, and even better can get a good deal on them? If you’ve got the means, yeah. I think there’s alot of value in having the endgame item you want. You can stop thinking about it completely.
Sometimes after growing up we realize our crush we thought was hot really wasn't. Usually a short meeting is all it takes to disappear old illusions. Can you demo them first to see if the magic is still there?
Seller was acting kind of dickish. Either way, i'd have to hear them in my room to tell if they're a 4x improvement over my current AN's (which use the same woofer and tweeter, just not as tightly matched and in a different cabinet with cheapo x-over) to excuse the price. At some point i suppose I could just build some AN-E cabs or try to track down some Snells as donors and build a balls out AN-E x-over.
